Federal Judge Dismisses Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing Lawsuit
Late last month a federal judge dismissed a lawsuit brought by fair housing advocacy groups asking for a preliminary injunction against HUD for withdrawing the Local Government Assessment Tool (Assessment Tool). Communities have been required to use the Assessment Tool to complete their Assessment of Fair Housing (AFH) and determine whether they are in compliance with the 2015 Affirmatively Furthering Fair Housing (AFFH) Rule. Rent control is now in effect for every senior citizen in this N.J. city
