President Obama Calls for Changes to Encourage First-time Homebuyers

President Obama unveiled his administration’s plan to expand access to sustainable homeownership for creditworthy families. The cornerstone of the plan is a reduction in the annual insurance fees charged by the Federal Housing Administration (FHA), which is intended to encourage more first-time homebuyers to enter the market.
